Foundations — since 2017

Earlier & ongoing

This is where the practice was built. I came to design from engineering, and earned my first design seat at LT Security in 2017 — storefronts, product pages, banners, the unglamorous surfaces where visual craft fundamentals get drilled until they're reflexes. Everything on this page sits on that foundation, and a few of these threads are still running.

Deep Sentinel — the only designer: app, brand, everything

2019–2020. An AI home-security startup — cameras watched by live guards — where I joined right after launch as the company's only designer. The core work was taking app 1.0, which was hard to use and drowning customer support, to a 2.0 with a clear hierarchy, a forgiving onboarding, and a device manager users could actually operate — while also carrying the e-commerce site, customer portal, packaging, campaigns, and trade-show surfaces, because there was no one else to carry them. The app's rating climbed from 3.6★ to 4.6★, and 89% of users completed onboarding on their own.

App 2.0 at the center — and every other surface around it, because there was no one else to carry them.

TruPredict — an expert's desktop tool, made legible on the web

2021–2022. A bidding-analysis product that tells government contractors what to bid and their chance to win — powerful, and locked inside a dense desktop interface only experts could drive. I designed the web app around a linear flow with clear state, so less-seasoned bidders could get to an answer — then redesigned the desktop app to match, so the two stopped feeling like different products. The web app went live and brought in two major customers.

The expert's dense desktop, made legible as a linear web flow — then the desktop redesigned to match, two surfaces as one product.

Healiom — a landing page and an app, designed as one

2021. A telehealth platform connecting patients with doctors for online visits — I designed the marketing surface and the product surface together, so the promise on the landing page and the experience in the app spoke the same language.

Identity & launch pages

Other facets: A mark, an identity, a page built to launch something. Different sides of the same practice that complement UX flows and the interfaces. Same eye, a different surface.

A few of the marks and pages, proofed on one sheet — 2017 onward.

Foundations, 2017 onward. A few threads — branding, mentoring — are still running.
